Ditlihi- The Warrior is an multi-award winning, original screenplay about disabled veterans. It was formerly known as unnumbered Hill.
This dual timeline story is intercut between 1943, when a Cherokee man with hearing loss becomes a WWII field reporter who never recovers from the trauma he experiences and 1993 when he checks himself into a PTSD facility where he meets two younger disabled veterans. They take him under their wings and push him to write the story he’s buried inside himself about the 82nd Airborne’s brutal fight for Hill 424 in Salerno, Italy where bravado curdled into trauma. As he relives the battle, he reaches self-forgiveness.
